Naturally, when you're given the chance to work with friends on an assignment, you jump at the opportunity. That's exactly what Binh, Rory, and Ivan did when Gene announced that the class was free to choose their own groups for the CPSC 310 course project. All that was needed was a fourth member-- someone dedicated and talented, just like themselves.
They didn't need to wait long.
A few weeks into the course, Soo Wei posted a message on the course bulletin board looking for individuals with whom to form a group. As if by fate, Binh saw that post and communicated his interest to Ivan and Rory about bringing Soo Wei into the fold. But before an offer was given, Soo Wei had to pass the first test: The Google Test.

Google's immense reach allows anybody and everybody to do stealth research about any other individual quickly. It's been noted in the news that women will often use Google to research potential suiters before going out on a first date, just to ensure that the guy ain't some weirdo with freaky fetishes. And, similarly, hiring managers will often Google potential new employees, if only to ensure that their target is who he claims to be.
Anyhow, we were satisfied with the Google results (we were even able to see a photo of Soo Wei) and soon after posted an invitation for him to join our group.

Over the last couple weeks, we've discovered that we work great with each other and are looking forward to completing the rest of the project.
