iPod contests and more at iPod Stuff

Posted on Wednesday 26 October 2005

I really enjoy visiting the blog called iPod Stuff Canada because, unlike most other iPod blogs out there, they routinely post information about iPod contests.

I’d really like to win an iPod, whether it be an iPod video or an iPod nano, and so I regularly visit iPod Stuff to see what new contests they have listed. (If you want to see what contests they have, then visit the site and click on the “contests” category on the right-hand side.)

Hottest topics on Technorati: “Rosa Parks”, Webdosbeta, Kristof, Ipod

Posted on Wednesday 26 October 2005

The hottest topics in the blogosphere, as according to Technorati.com, are as follows:

  1. “Rosa Parks”
  2. Webdosbeta
  3. Kristof
  4. Ipod

As I learned yesterday, Webdosbeta is the Web 2.0 conference that is going on in Spain at the moment. I’m curious, what are the names of some of the prominent Spanish Web 2.0 companies?

Webdosbeta: I stand corrected

Posted on Tuesday 25 October 2005

Thanks to some readers, I know that Webdosbeta is actually a Web 2.0 Conference in Spain.

dos = two in Spanish… but I interpretted it to mean DOS as in MS-DOS.

Silly me.

Wilma: El Nino or the Wrath of Allah!?

Posted on Tuesday 25 October 2005

Heh.

So what’s up with all of these storms and hurricanes? Is this year just another year of El Nino?

Or could the millions of muslims praying for Allah to bring justice to the American “infidels” be working??? Hah, just kidding. :)

There’ve been so many storms recently. Let’s hope it’s just El Nino.

Yep, you read it here.

The hottest topics on Technorati are as follows:

  1. Webdosbeta
  2. “Bob Berbert”
  3. Bernanke
  4. Wilma

I have no idea what Webdosbeta, but maybe it’s a DOS emulator that runs over the Internet that is in beta. :)

Bob Herbert? Who knows. Likewise with Bernanke. But Wilma I know. :)

Is Paris Hilton pregnant?

Posted on Friday 30 September 2005

There seems to be rumours flying that Paris Hilton might be pregnant. Is it true? I can’t even imagine it to be. No way. Lies.

DeLay critial of indictment

Posted on Thursday 29 September 2005

DeLay insistes that he’s the victim of a vendetta by Ronnie Earle, a Democratic district attorney.

“My defense in this case will not be technical or legalistic. It will be categorical and absolute,” he said. “I am innocent. Mr. Earle and his staff know it, and I will prove it.”

To me, this is just another example of the greed that is rampant among Republicans in general. There’s been so much negative press about the Republican party lately: the blogosphere’s impeach Bush movement, Bush and his washroom note, and now this.

I’m sure there’ll be more to come.

“Photograph” lyrics by Nickelback

Posted on Wednesday 28 September 2005

Nickelback - Photograph
from Lyrics Database

Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red
And what the hell is on Joey’s head?

This is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneakin’ out

And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must’ve done it half a dozen times

I wonder if it’s too late
Should I go back and try to graduate?
Life’s better now than it was back then
If I was them I wouldn’t let me in oh oh oh
Oh god I…

Every memory of lookin’ out the back door
I got the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It’s hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye

Every memory of walkin’ out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was lookin’ for
It’s hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye

Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin’ out
They say somebody went and burned it down

We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we’d know
We said someday we’d find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel

Kim’s the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She’s had a couple of kids since then
I haven’t seen her since God knows when oh oh oh

I miss that town, I miss the faces
You can’t erase, you can’t replace it
I miss it now, I can’t believe it
So hard to stay, too hard to leave it

If I could relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change
Every memory of lookin’ out the back door
I got the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It’s hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye

Every memory of walkin’ out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was lookin ‘for
It’s hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye

Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
Every time I do it makes me…
